Marty O'Reilly

Good Medicine + Numbskull Productions Present: MARTY O’REILLY live at Club Car Bar!

7:30pm - All Ages - Tickets available now at the link below

Full bar + food menu will be available for purchase onsite

“There’s something about Marty O’Reilly’s music that feels like it’s always been here—like an old story being told in a new way. His voice is raw and real, his guitar playing gritty and soulful. It’s music that doesn’t try to be anything other than honest, and that’s exactly why it hits so hard.

He pulls inspiration from the roots of Americana; his sound references folk greats like Woody Guthrie, blues legends like Howlin’ Wolf,  gospel pioneers like Sister Rosetta Thorpe, and master storytellers like Tom Waits. It’s a sound that captivates and connects audiences, and leaves them wanting more.

His live shows aren’t just concerts—they’re cathartic experiences. One moment it’s soft and haunting, the next it’s wild and electric. The kind that stay with you long after the lights come up.

But it’s not just about the sound. Marty’s songs dig deep into the human experience—loneliness, connection, love, loss. Whether it’s an intimate solo set or a full band show, he makes every audience feel like they’re part of the story.

Over the years, Marty has built a dedicated following through relentless touring and staying true to his craft. He’s shared the stage with artists like Shakey Graves, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Sarah Jarosz, and Alice O’Donovan and played at festivals like Bottlerock, SXSW, and High Sierra Music Festival, but his focus has always been on making music that means something.

Marty has poured everything into his music—spending years on the road, self-funding his albums, and navigating the ups and downs of life as an independent artist, husband, and father. But through it all, he’s never lost sight of why he started: to make honest music that connects.

If you’re looking for music that feels real, that makes you stop and listen, Marty O’Reilly is someone you need to hear.”

Sunny Sweeney

Good Medicine + Numbskull Productions present: SUNNY SWEENEY live at Club Car Bar!

7:30pm - 18+
Tickets available now at the link below

Full bar + food menu will be available for purchase onsite

“Following your instincts is not as easy as Sunny Sweeney makes it look. A patron saint of broken hearts on the mend, Sweeney comforts the rest of us by being honest with herself––and everybody else. She is her generation’s sly country conscience, warm but stubborn, sad but funny, rowdy but thoughtful.

“I am so glad I’ve been able to get this far in this business and still hold my music values,” Sweeney says. “Being independent has given me the freedom to do more of what I want.”

For Sweeney, doing what she wants has meant crafting smart honky tonk for about two decades. “I really do love country music,” she says. “For me, it’s the stories and hooks.” Her new album Rhinestone Requiem is a delectable testament to that love, brimming with achingly pretty melodies and grown-up storytelling. It’s also an expertly assembled grab bag of the traditional song structures that have built country music, one three-quarter whirl at a time.

If anyone has the bona fides to be country music’s loving, defiant standard-bearer, it’s Sweeney. In addition to releasing 5 critically acclaimed albums since her 2006 debut Heartbreaker’s Hall of Fame, she has become a trusted song curator and advocate for other artists as the host of her SiriusXM shows The Sunny Side of Life on Outlaw Country and Sunny Side Up on Willie’s Roadhouse. Sweeney keeps adding new feathers to her signature hat: She and her longtime guitarist Harley Husbands produced Rhinestone Requiem and are working as producers on additional projects. “We both have very strong points and very strong opinions,” Sweeney says of Husbands with a laugh. “But we work very well together.”

Born in Houston and raised in East Texas, Sweeney made her home the road before settling down in the hills of Hendersonville, Tennessee, a couple of years ago. The release of Rhinestone Requiem represents another milestone. “This is the first time I’ve made a record when I don’t have relationship problems,” Sweeney says, smiling. “My last album, ‘Married Alone,’ was made right after my divorce. I’ve lived some life. Not all of it’s been pretty. But I feel like that’s what makes really good music.”

Sweeney takes her calling as friend to the hurt and alone seriously––and Rhinestone Requiem shines because of it. Recorded at Tommy Detamore’s Cherry Ridge Studio in Floresville, Texas, the album is a compelling snapshot of an artist who knows who she is and what she loves. “I really wanted this album to be a mixture of all the old styles of country music: Jerry Lee Lewis, Waylon Jennings, Loretta Lynn,” Sweeney says, ticking off a list of some of her idols. “I make music for myself and hope other people like it.”

Indeed, the specter of Lewis looms large from the jump, as the album kicks off with “Find It Where I Can,” the sauntering, boozy warning shot recorded by The Killer, as well as other giants including Waylon Jennings. Sweeney discovered the song during a late-night YouTube deep dive into videos of Lewis and Mickey Gilley hammering away on dueling baby grands. “You know, they’re cousins, and their grandmother taught them how to play piano––that’s why their playing style is so similar!” Sweeney says, relishing the backstory. “And when I heard this song, I knew I had to record it. It’s not like anything else I have, and it’s just so fun to sing and play.”

Jubilantly wry “Diamonds and Divorce Decrees” traces the ruins after a marriage ends, cataloging the pain but looking stubbornly toward happiness. Sweeney has been playing the song live, and has been struck by how strongly audiences have responded. “One night after we played it, a guy came up to the stage and said, ‘I have three days until my divorce is final, and this song made me know everything is going to be fine,’” Sweeney says.

Written with dear friend and frequent collaborator Brennen Leigh, “Traveling On” is a superbly crafted heartbreaker showcasing the devastating power of Sweeney’s voice. Written with Ben Chapman and Erin Enderlin, “Is Tonight the Night (I Make You a Memory)” starts off slow and sad, before speeding up into a bouncy, steel-laced shuffle worthy of The Mavericks. Another Enderlin and Sweeney collaboration with the addition of Gary Nicholson, “I Drink Well with Others” is a winking dancehall duster, while “As Long as There’s a Honky Tonk”––written with Buddy Owens and Galen Griffin––is a swaggering, piano-soaked proclamation of independence.

One of only two album tracks Sweeney didn’t have a hand in writing, “Last Hard Bible” nods to the whimsical grit of its writer and original recording artist, Kasey Chambers, as Sweeney steers the song firmly into saloon-worthy territory. Chambers and her brother, Nash, provide harmonies on Sweeney’s track. When Sweeney joins Chambers for shows in the summer of 2025, it will mark a full-circle moment for Sweeney, who is a longtime fan of the Australian singer-songwriter.

With crying steel, “Waiting for a Reason to Stay” tearfully harnesses the potential of conversational songwriting. “I’ve always wondered what was wrong with me,” Sweeney sings, opening the song with gut-wrenching directness. What follows is a meditation on the days after you’ve decided to go––but haven’t left yet. “I’ve had records about the bad side of divorce,” Sweeney says. “This is the light at the end of the tunnel.” Written with Owens and Monty Holmes, album closer “Half Lit in 3/4 Time” is a masterclass in country songwriting, as line after line pays tribute to honky tonk’s beloved instruments and golden standards. Featuring mournful fiddle, “Houston Belongs to Me” already sounds like a classic, as Sweeney’s resilient narrator lays claim to a hot, complex city that she loves. “It’s healing: You’re taking ownership of where you are,” Sweeney says.

It’s an idea Sweeney has embraced in various ways throughout her career: Lean into who and what you are––and revel in the liberation that brings. Her fierce independence has allowed her to speak to us with the care of a trusted confidant who sees our hurts and is rooting for us. “I feel like that’s what I grew up loving about music––I felt like I was their friend,” Sweeney says. “I felt like they were talking––singing––to me.”

This powerhouse tribute band has earned their reputation as one of the most authentic AC/DC experiences on the planet, delivering performances so true to the original that audiences often forget they’re not watching the real deal.

Every detail matters: from the signature Gibson SG guitar tones to the thunderous rhythm section that made AC/DC legendary. The band’s frontman channels the raw energy and stage presence that made both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson icons, while the guitarists masterfully recreate the Young brothers’ distinctive sound that defined hard rock for generations.

What sets High Voltage apart is their commitment to authenticity. Hours of meticulous study have gone into perfecting not just the notes, but the attitude, the swagger, and the sheer power that made AC/DC concerts legendary events. The band’s performances aren’t just tribute shows—they’re full-scale concert experiences that capture the electricity of seeing AC/DC in their prime.

From the opening blast of “For Those About to Rock” to the final notes of “Highway to Hell,” High Voltage delivers a setlist that spans AC/DC’s greatest hits and deep cuts. Whether it’s the driving rhythm of “Back in Black,” the anthemic power of “You Shook Me All Night Long,” or the raw energy of “T.N.T.,” every song is performed with the precision and passion that made the originals timeless.

For fans who remember the thrill of seeing AC/DC live—or those too young to have experienced it—High Voltage offers something precious: the chance to relive or discover one of rock’s greatest live experiences. This is more than a tribute band; it’s a time machine powered by Marshall stacks and pure rock and roll spirit.

“I’ve always loved music. I knew that I wanted to play in bands since I was 12. For me, December 2017 marks 20 years of guitar (my Dad played, and it seemed like the obvious choice). I’ve been lucky to have music as my full-time career for the past dozen years; teaching guitar, gigging in bands, and releasing original music. I have had a variety of adventures stemming from the music community here in San Luis Obispo (the happiest place on Earth): degrees from Cuesta College and Cal Poly, a tour to Lithuania, recording musicals for PCPA theatre productions, teaching thousands of students, releasing rock music and touring the US with my buddies. Tyler halverson

Good Medicine & Numbskull Productions Present: TYLER HALVERSON live at Club Car Bar!

7:30pm - All Ages - Tickets available now at the link below!

Full bar + food menu will be available for purchase onsite.

“Tyler Halverson knows who he is, and sometimes he doesn’t like it. But all of the mistakes he’s made and hearts he’s broken have led him to In Defense of Drinking, his stone-cold honest country album that takes a stark look at a life lived on the road.

“It’s been a life spent falling in and out of love and finding something to write about, at the expense of your heart and somebody’s else’s,” Halverson says. “I’m not proud of the actions that that boy took to inspire these songs. But I’m very proud of how they turned out. The Nashville scene today is all so pretty and polished, and some artists try to come out looking a certain way, but how about you just show yourself exactly how you are, the good and bad?”

Growing up in the tiny town of Canton, South Dakota, Halverson has never been afraid to be himself. Before he answered the call of the road, playing bars and rodeo beer gardens, he spent as much time on his skateboard as he did showing cattle at livestock shows. “I grew up in sale barns and skate parks,” he says, and those two disparate worlds inform the music he makes. There’s a decidedly alt-country edge to the songs on In Defense of Drinking, including the thumping, unrepentant single “More Hearts Than Horses.”

“If you come walking my way/I’ll send you running someday,” he sings over pedal steel and acoustic guitar. It’s an admission as striking as that of Willie and Waylon, when they sang “Take what you need from the ladies and leave them/with the words of a sad country song” in “My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys.”

“That comes with the territory of being a troubadour,” Halverson says. “It’s a warning: whatever you’ve heard about cowboys and cowboy singers is probably true, and sometimes you best just leave it alone.”

Recorded at Amber Sound in Hermitage, Tennessee, and produced by Halverson, Ryan Youmans, and Gary Stanton (of Muscadine Bloodline), In Defense of Drinking builds on the foundation Halverson created with his 2024 Western Amerijuana project. There are songs about self-induced heartbreak (the alt-rock/country stomper “Ft. Worth Losing”), self-medication (the deceptively gentle title track), and the desperate search for redemption (the hushed hymn “Son Brother Believer”), all of it shot through with a decidedly Western vibe.

Halverson comes by that aesthetic naturally. He spent time not only in his native South Dakota, but all throughout the American West, including playing cowboy on a Wyoming ranch (which inspired the cult hit “Mac Miller”). “Beer Garden Baby,” his beloved fan favorite, was born from those rodeo gigs, and he re-records it as a duet with Parker McCollum for In Defense of Drinking. He’s also set to open a string of shows for the Texas-turned-Nashville-star.”

Liv Waters

Good Medicine Presents: LIV WATERS live at Club Car Bar!

8pm - All Ages - Free Show

Full bar + food menu will be available for purchase onsite

“Liv Waters is a country singer-songwriter based on California’s Central Coast. Now living and writing along the coast, her songs are equally shaped by her upbringing in upstate New York and time spent throughout New England.

Drawing inspiration from both places, Liv’s music reflects wide open ranch land and ocean air alongside the seasons, small towns, and restless feeling of the Northeast. Her songwriting captures quiet moments, complicated relationships, and the passing observations that turn into lasting stories.

With a voice that blends sharp storytelling with a wry sense of humor, Liv writes songs that feel both deeply personal and instantly familiar. Her work often weaves character dialogue and lived experience into narratives that linger long after the music ends.

Currently recording and releasing new music, Liv is performing throughout California’s Central Coast while continuing to build her catalog of original songs.”

CHerokee Social

Good Medicine Presents: CHEROKEE SOCIAL live at Club Car Bar!

8pm - All Ages - $10 Cover

Full bar + food menu will be available for purchase onsite

“Cherokee Social is an Indie Pop duo that sounds like a 5 piece. The lead singer Julian Navarro started out on drums as early as 3 years old and quickly graduated to bass, vocals, guitar, and pro tools as he grew up in the Baltimore music scene. Almost being signed 3 separate times throughout his career he finally started taking off when he moved to Denver and rebranded his project from Faceless Ones to Cherokee Social. Shortly after this rebrand he picked up guitarist Alex Creighton who brought energetic guitar solos and added staged energy to the band. After a few months of playing together they sold out their first headlining show in Denver in January 2024. This trend continued as they started playing with acts like Macy Gray and Fitz and the Tantrums. In summer 2025 they embarked on a 6 week west coast tour where they explored the most beautiful places in California and Washington, making content, making fans, and eventually using the experience to inspire their first EP “The Garden”. A collection of reverb heavy, meaning packed, hard hitting indie bangers. The months following this release have been spent preparing to release their first full length album “Pretty Boy Modeling School” which is set to drop in May 2026. This release will come with a tidal wave of content and shows around the country which will stand to prove if Cherokee Social can become a household name in modern indie music.”

The Soda Crackers w/ archer mozé

Good Medicine Presents: THE SODA CRACKERS WITH ARCHER MOZÉ live at Club Car Bar!

7pm - All Ages - Tickets available now at the link below!

Full bar + food menu will be available for purchase onsite

“When a band’s square-shaped business card has a photographic image of a saltine on one side and the two types of tunes available on the other – Country and Western – that’s an instant clue something unique is on this musical menu.

With a goal to bring back the “classics,” The Soda Crackers – a five-piece band whose average age barely cracks the 30-something barrier – are in full swing these days. Make that – full Bakersfield Sound with a nice helping of Western Swing thrown in as a side dish of sorts.

What started as a group of Southern Californian musicians – all with other “day jobs” – gathering in garage jam sessions turned into their first paid performance in April 2021 for a slot at the “Western Swing Out Weekender” in Tehachapi, Calif., a mountain community just east of the home to The Bakersfield Sound.

Bakersfield is also “home base” for two of the Crackers – brothers Zane and Felix Cooper Adamo – so booking additional gigs in Kern County seemed like a natural next step for the band.

The Soda Crackers have brought their honky-tonk playlist to multiple venues throughout Taft and Bakersfield, including performances at Oildorado Days, the Taft Moose Lodge anniversary event, the opening of The Bakersfield Sound exhibit at the Kern County Museum, the Kern-tucky event in the Kern River Valley, special events at The Cuyama Buckhorn and, as a bucket-list highlight in April, gracing the stage at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace.

“I was born and raised in Bakersfield and grew up on Western Swing music,” says Zane Adamo, 29, who serves as the band’s rhythm guitarist, lead vocalist and second fiddler. “My brother, Cooper and I started taking fiddle lessons when we were 6 and 5, then played locally with a group of musicians who knew and loved The Bakersfield Sound and Western Swing genres when that was THE music of the time.”

Back when the Adamo brothers were too young to drive themselves to the local senior centers where they once performed, the little fiddlers served up what their older audience craved – a chance to turn back time.

And now, The Soda Crackers introduce The Bakersfield Sound and Western Swing to concertgoers closer to their ages as well. Among the band’s most popular musical renditions are: “Faded Love,” “Folsom Prison Blues, Lone Star Beer & Bob Wills Music,” “Swingin’ Doors,” “Love’s Gonna Live Here,” and “Mind Your Own Business.”

And just for a dash more “local ingredients,” lead fiddler Felix Cooper Adamo adds his own vocals and a crowd-pleasing Kern County-fied verse to “I’ve Been Everywhere, Man” that mentions just about every little local town, including Arvin, Lamont, Shafter, Wasco and Porterville.

“We knew there could be an audience for these songs being played by a new generation of musicians,” Zane Adamo says. “It’s been great to see the music live on with original fans of it and then find some new fans along the way.”

Western Swing is the unmistakably Texas-style sound popularized by fiddle legend Bob Wills in the 1930-40s dance halls. It traveled through Texas, Oklahoma and the lower Great Plains, combining country string bands with old-time fiddle traditions and big-band jazz.

Dust Bowl migrants brought the music with them as they headed west for better prospects, which directly influenced Bakersfield greats, Buck Owens and Merle Haggard, who would each contribute to the twangier, edgier Bakersfield Sound.

What the two musical styles have in common – and where The Soda Crackers happily pick up the baton with their own stamp – is getting people out on to the dance floor. Sometimes, even when there isn’t room for one!

“Nothing makes us happier than to watch people move around tables and chairs and make space for dancing – that’s what this music is meant for,” Adamo says.

In addition to the Adamo brothers, The Soda Crackers also include Nick Green on pedal steel; Jesus “Chuy” Holguin on stand-up bass; and, when he has availability, much in-demand Bakersfield drummer, Cesareo Garaza. Other “local guest Crackers” have been known to add to this musical recipe as well.

Although available for hire, The Soda Crackers don’t charge people to attend their concerts. Tips, of course, are always welcomed – especially since most of the band members drive over the Grapevine for the opportunity to serve up their special dish of The Bakersfield Sound and Western Swing.

Soda crackers (the food version) might be cheap, but gas sure isn’t!”

Emilee Morrison

Good Medicine Presents: EMILEE MORRISON live at Club Car Bar!

7:30pm - All Ages - Free Show

Full bar + food menu will be available for purchase

“Emilee Morrison's debut album, released in October 2024, features four deeply personal songs, each crafted to resonate with listeners on a meaningful level.

“I Hear You Now” pays tribute to Emilee’s grandfather, affectionately known as Papa, who passed away when she was a teenager. Through this heartfelt ballad, Emilee shares the wisdom imparted to her about the importance of never settling in life or love. She hopes this song will inspire others who are navigating the complexities of relationships to hold on to their values and dreams.

“Change Is Coming” emerged during a thunderstorm in Bridgeport, California, a moment that both inspired and reflected Emilee’s own turbulent decision-making process regarding her college path. This song encapsulates her yearning for transformation and aligns with anyone facing significant life choices.

“Glow Getter” reflects her time at Montana State University in Bozeman. Inspired by her roommate Sierra, this vibrant anthem celebrates the drive and ambition to shine in all endeavors. Emilee channels the spirit of perseverance and positivity, encouraging listeners to embrace their inner glow.

Lastly, “Chains of Pain” serves as Emilee’s introspective lament, highlighting the emotional journey that every singer-songwriter experiences. This poignant track delves into themes of heartache and resilience, establishing a connection with those who understand the weight of sorrow.

You can find all of these Emilee originals on Spotify and iTunes.”

“A rural Albertan hailing from the foothills of the Rocky Mountains with a long family lineage of ranchers and rodeo people, Lund is about as authentic as they come, and equally as hard to define.

The western Canadian singer-songwriter is an elusive artist — onstage, offstage, and in the studio — seamlessly weaving between the outlaw country, Western, and indie-folk realms with an honest curiosity and rowdy devotion to each. He was raised with the tried and true DIY sentiment of “if you want something done, you gotta do it yourself” launching his career recording in his basement, printing his own shirts, booking his own tours, being his own manager and publicist… whatever it took to get it done. He toured for years with the indie-metal band the smalls, and later turned his sights to writing Western songs, creating a unique and quirky hybrid writing style along the way. He has received multiple domestic and international award nominations and wins. In 2022, Lund won his 14th career Canadian Country Music Award and made his debut at the historic Grand Ole Opry. His album of originals, El Viejo, was released in February 2024.”

Tower Rats with The Murder Hornets & Corporal Psyche

Good Medicine Presents: TOWER RATS with The Murder Hornets & Corporal Psyche LIVE at Club Car Bar!

8pm - All Ages - Free Show

Full bar + food menu will be available for purchase onsite

“Tower Rats emerged from the shadows of the Tower District in Fresno, CA. —a melodic, melancholic punk outfit born in the corners of DIY venues and dive bars. With themes ranging from heartbreak and tragedy to BDSM and demonic rituals, their dynamic sound will take you from bittersweet, cathartic anthems to aggressive circle pit bangers. Think Jawbreaker meets Pup by way of Misfits.

Formed in 2022 by longtime friends and family, the band sharpened its teeth supporting bands like Agent Orange, Marky Ramone, Tigers Jaw, and The Dirty Nil, while also organizing several local showcases. With two-and-three part vocals, grit-drenched guitars, and rhythm section that swings like a wrecking ball, Tower Rats are building something loud from the underground up.

“Studio 9 Demo” (2023) – Early singles from these sessions hint at the urgency and emotion behind the distortion. “I Aim to Please” (May 2025) – An unsettling, riff-driven exploration of fetishistic obsession with a chorus that begs you to sing along and a bridge that will catch you by surprise. “Lack of Color” & “Ritual” (upcoming Winter 2026) – Upcoming releases showcase the band’s range and firepower, including “Lack of Color”- a punk-tinged reimagining of the Death Cab for Cutie deep cut — and “Ritual” - a melodic hardcore ripper that stands as the Rats’ most pit-worthy track to date.”

Numbskull Productions + Good Medicine Presents: TOTAL DISTORTION (A Social Distortion Tribute) with RANCID RADIO (A Rancid Tribute) live at Club Car Bar!

8pm - All Ages - Tickets available now at the link below

Total Distortion was formed to pay homage to Social Distortion, one of America's first punk rock bands. Based in San Diego, Total Distortion was started by Don Vercelli, a singer with a voice that is eerily similar to that of Social D front man Mike Ness. Backed by his fellow band members Chris Cunningham, Shawn Barry and Angel Elias, Vercelli has led Total Distortion onstage to pay homage to Social D in venues throughout California, Arizona, Nevada and Texas.”

“Rancid Radio was formed to pay tribute to the Bay Area punk rockers.  The  Rancid Radio boys are staples in the So Cal tribute scene.  They are members of Social Distortion, Blink 182, Stone Temple Pilots, Rammstein and Christian Death Tributes. Their love of Rancid was a perfect segway to form Rancid Radio”

Willy Tea Taylor

Good Medicine + Numbskull Productions Present: WILLY TEA TAYLOR

7pm - All Ages - Tickets available now at the link below

“There is no question that Willy Tea Taylor’s life as a singer/songwriter was predetermined – his role realized the moment he wrote his first song. His inspirations drawn from two separate wells; Living the life of a cattleman’s kid and experiencing true visionaries music like Greg Brown, John Hartford, and Guy Clark. The image of Guy Clark and friends sitting around the kitchen table loaded with ashtrays full of butts, half-smoked cigarettes, food, and booze on one Christmas Eve in 1975 burned into Taylor’s soul. Those guys, swapping songs without pretense, lit Willy Tea’s fire. And ever since, its led purpose with passion – finding a hang by curating relationships through musical friendships that get him closer to his own Clark style kitchen table.

From his early days co-fronting The Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit, to singing solo in countless cowboy bars, to pitching countless wiffle ball games, Willy Tea has never lost the vision. Now Willy Tea Taylor has taken his vision of the “hero hang” on the road. and his talented traveling band The Fellership is made up of his fantastically talented buds who play Willy’s songs with a brand of reckless abandon and utter humility that spits in the face of pretense. The way The Fellership plays Will’s songs is the way they demand to be played and, in their short time together, they have been awe-ing every audience lucky enough to see them.”

“Jeffrey Lewis and his various bandmates have perfected a scuzzy, urban style of indie-folk, developing from late-90s New York City bedroom tapes into a mighty 21st Century mash-up of folksy spiel and artsy garage, like Pete Seeger meeting Sonic Youth. A born and raised denizen of the Lower East Side, Lewis’s home recordings were discovered by Rough Trade Records in 2001 (famed label of The Smiths, The Strokes, Belle & Sebastian and more) while Lewis was briefly living in Austin, Texas. Since the 2001 release of his first official album “The Last Time I Did Acid I Went Insane and Other Favorites” on Rough Trade Records, Lewis has toured the world and released numerous acclaimed albums on Rough Trade and other labels.
