“Burley Thistles is an alternative rock band that plays guitar-woven music that is easy to listen to but also surprises with memorable songs, expressive vocals, authentic sound, and outstanding studio production. The Burley Thistles musicality is from the writing and the sound of the studio-recording band, which includes: guitarist Elliott Easton from The Cars. Phil Jones from Tom Petty is the drummer and producer. Jim Wilson with Daniel Lanois and formerly Henry Rollins plays keyboard, electric bass, and sings back up. The lead singer, song writer/lyricist, guitarist and bandleader is Easton Everett. The origins of Burley Thistles is in the California Hi-Desert where they were they worked in the burgeoning music scene for ten years playing every festival and venue. Burley Thistles performed at the 1st Joshua Tree Music Festival main stage in the early 2000’s. The band has re emerged on the Central California Coast as of 2024 with local personal and is playing many shows.”
